Ching-Yi teaches a Music Entrepreneurship class at Western Kentucky University. Her goal is to help students acquire the necessary skills to be a successful musician in both traditional and new career paths.  Students in this course reflect on their individual musical aspirations, recognize new and innovative opportunities in the arts, communicate successfully through different types of platforms, work on their interpersonal and networking skills, and apply lessons learned in the class to their own careers. The course also covers basic practical skills, such as designing CVs, writing cover letters, and establishing an online presence, as well as more advanced topics such as recording and copyrights, booking concerts, creating a business model, soliciting donations, establishing a private teaching studio, and professional networking in music.
